Unconventional method in new 3G era

I read this article "I can" Versus "Intrinsic capability"-- analyzing China Mobile, which talks about China mobile's threats and opportunities facing the new 3G era. I translated the last 2 paragraphs into English:

It is easy to understand China Mobile's hesitation about “Internet”. Comparing with the traditional telcom’s business model, “The free of charge” is ubiquitous on the “internet” and which is tit for tat with carriers’ philosophy of making money. It is entrenched “free” business model on the Internet that has put a thwart in front of carriers’ efforts of promoting wireless applications, such as: wireless email, wireless chat, VOD and etc. Only after introducing China Telecom, the giant carrier who wants to scramble wireless marketing share by all means, into this business, all the latter players will adopt desperate movement that might undermine themselves as well.

During a famous speech, Zhianzhou Wang, the CEO of CMCC, said “China Mobile needs insane people”. It is well known that China Mobile needs to merge more Internet factors into its business. We need to think twice about the word of “insane people” in this sentence. The threats China mobile is facing now not only comes from new competitors and new competitive technologies, but also derives from invisibility of threat because of the complacent mentality and seemingly in harmony but actually at variance toward innovation.

What I am thinking about is that there is no doubt the Internet model will invade wireless sooner or later, how we can absorb the distillate and work with carriers. Is it a extra value of us?
